Butterfly Garden Volunteer
Hemisfair is seeking a dedicated Butterfly Garden volunteer who is passionate about gardening, pollinators, parks, and working outdoors. This person would ideally commit to a schedule of gardening at Hemisfair 1 to 2 hours per week OR 3 to 4 hours every two weeks. They will work closely with the Operations team at Hemisfair to do tasks such as weeding, deadheading, planting new plants, removing old plants, and admiring the beautiful surroundings at Hemisfair. This person should be comfortable greeting visitors and dogs. They will be supplied with gardening tools, drinking water, and a rad Hemisfair tee shirt. Park Activity Volunteer
Hemisfair is seeking a dedicated weekend Park Volunteer who is passionate about community, children, and public spaces. This person would ideally commit to a schedule of 2-3 hours every weekend where they would come help run activities in the park. Hemisfair has an activity cart that loans games and coloring sheets, this volunteer would check out items to park visitors. They would also set out Big Blue Blocks and lead imaginative building sessions. This person should be friendly, creative, and comfortable interacting with visitors of all types.
