Hours of Operation
Hemisfair is open 7 days a week from 5:00 AM until 12:00 AM.
- Smoking is allowed only in designated areas.
- Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash. Please clean up after your pet.
- As a courtesy to all, keep loud music to a minimum.
- Riding bicycles, skating and skateboarding are prohibited, except on perimeter sidewalks.
- Fireworks, open flames, barbecue grills, and glass containers are prohibited.
- Outside food and drink is allowed, but no glass containers, please.
- Wine and beer are allowed in the park, but no liquor. Alcohol must be in a can or container. For the safety of park guests, we do not allow glass containers.
Hemisfair parking is available at several lots located nearby.Parking rates and availability vary by lot and may change during evenings and special events. Please be courteous of other drivers and cautious of pedestrians (especially little ones) while you search for parking.
Looking for the Tower of the Americas?

Is there an entrance fee?
No, Yanaguana Garden at Hemisfair is a free, public park.
Do you sell food, drinks and alcohol?
Hemisfair is home to CommonWealth Coffehouse & Bakery, Con Safos Cocina y Cantina, Paleteria San Antonio, Chocolazzo and Dough Pizzeria. Hours of operation vary.
Stopping by with a school group?
Whether it’s to take in a show at the Magik Theatre or coming for a field trip for the park itself, let us know if your school group will be coming by the park. It’s not necessary to tell us ahead of time, but we’re always interested in which schools are stopping by, how many visitors we can expect and how we can make your experience in the park delightful. Can students eat their lunch in the park?
Yes, there are several locations throughout Hemisfair for students to enjoy their lunch. We have picnic tables and a lawn for you to enjoy while keeping cool under shaded areas with umbrellas and trees. Please clean up after enjoying a picnic at Hemisfair.
Where do school buses park?
Hemisfair does not have designated bus parking. However, you may load and unload along S. Alamo Street.
Is there a place to store items?
We do not have a storage location or lockers for items.
What happens with rain or inclement weather?
We operate rain or shine!
Do you sell swimsuits or other merchandise?
Hemisfair does not sell swimsuits, sun screen or any other merchandise. Several shops and outlets are nearby, including River Center Mall.
