The City of San Antonio’s Center City Development & Operations Department (CCDO) and Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corporation (HPARC) have partnered to bring the first OPEN Downtown Pop Up Shop to Hemisfair!

The new shop, Indigo Makers Collective, is a collaboration between designers Blanquita Sullivan, Kass Carrell and Jessica Brown. The store specializes in men’s and women’s locally-made, handcrafted apparel and accessories.

“The opening of this pop-up shop will further the revitalization of Hemisfair as a vibrant place to gather in the Center City,” said John Jacks, CCDO Interim Director. “The OPEN program continues to activate underutilized spaces and create opportunities for local entrepreneurs to test their retail concept.”

The OPEN Program offers businesses a short-term, no-cost, lease and activates vacant store fronts by introducing new, creative and temporary retail locations. OPEN creates an environment that engages customers and confirms downtown San Antonio as a vibrant, urban space ready for long-term investment. This shop will be open for 90 days with a soft opening on July 1, and a grand opening event on July 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. Store hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The shop is located at 518 S. Alamo St.

OPEN is supported by the Office of Historic Preservation, Café Commerce and Centro San Antonio. For more information, visit Connect with OPEN on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #openpopupsa.
