Pinwheels in the Park hosted by Clarity Child Guidance Center

May 11^th is National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day, and awareness of children’s mental health is the mission and heart of Clarity CGC—the only nonprofit in South Texas providing a continuum of mental health care for children ages 3-17 to manage conditions ranging from ADHD and anxiety to suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder and/or schizophrenia. 

Clarity’s hope is that families will pick a pinwheel off the lawn and begin to have conversations with their kiddos about their feelings, fears, etc.

Each pinwheel has a message that says: “Take a pinwheel for National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day! Pinwheels remind us that kids can turn their lives around.Clarity Child Guidance Center 210.616.0300”

The Clarity website offers parents and educators a plethora of free advice.  That advice is needed now more than ever as children struggle with the aftermath of the pandemic.  

Clarity has used pinwheels throughout its campus since 2010 because they symbolize how children turn their lives around and represent unseen energy and childhood innocence. There is always hope!
