The mornings activities will include making slime with Artvango Therapeutic Services, Inc., working with switches and how to use toys you already have by Fusion Home Health, LLC led by Director of Therapy Juan Nava and Lynda Nava who holds an MBA in Speech Pathology from Our Lady of the Lake University and Story Time with BEE-Lingual a bilingual reading of “Benny Doesn’t Like to Be Hugged” by Zetta Elliott. In “Benny Doesn’t Like to Be Hugged” a little girl uses rhyming verse to describe the unique traits of her autistic friend. Benny likes trains and cupcakes without sprinkles, he can also be fussy sometimes, but she doesn’t mind because “true friends accept each other just the way they are”. A gentle story encouraging children to appreciate and accept our differences. A “Blind Love” yoga class will be offered at 9:30am by Angela of Blue Cat Yoga & Healing Arts and BRIDGE will offer a kite workshop.
