About our Inclusion Programming:
Every monthly Inclusion Programming event provides exposure to art, music, communication modalities, technology, purposeful movement, outdoor play and healthy living. Having simultaneous activities appeals to a variety of interests within the community, achieving the goal of a truly inclusive space in which people benefit from the camaraderie of shared interests and interactions.
“Hemisfair is an inclusive, non-judgmental zone where people can come as they are and have a wonderful time.” said Hemisfair CEO, Andres Andujar. “We want people whose physical and cognitive abilities have left them underserved in the community to find a sense of belonging here, but we also want to serve as a bridge that connects them with ‘typically’ developing individuals. This is critical because it’s this type of peer-to-peer interaction that will foster a greater understanding in Hemisfair, in San Antonio and through generations.”
