SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (August 28th 2014) –Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corporation (HPARC) has released a survey to the public calling for feedback and opinions on design concepts for the Hemisfair civic park (name TBD), the largest and most iconic of the park series being constructed on site. The survey follows a Public Design Workshop held July 29 where over 250 participants shared their thoughts on initial design concepts. The survey will remain open until September 15, 2014.

Design of the civic park is being led by world-renowned landscape architectural firm Gustafson, Guthrie, Nichol of Seattle and local firm Alamo Architects, who was just recognized as the 2014 Texas Architecture Firm of the Year—the highest honor given by the Texas Society of Architects. The collaboration of the two firms ensures exceptional park beauty that remains authentic to San Antonio.

Anyone interested in Hemisfair’s transformation is strongly encouraged to take the short survey, which will help the team refine their design. “We are dedicated to providing a park district that serves the needs of residents first and becomes the place where San Antonio meets,” said HPARC CEO Andres Andujar. “That’s why public feedback is so critical. It greatly influences our plans and our thinking for the better.”

HPARC’s goal is to receive over 1,000 responses, covering all San Antonio zip codes. The survey is open to the public and can be accessed at:
