Luminaria Bringing Out the Urban Jungle at Hemisfair
San Francisco muralist to produce special 8’x24’ piece during event

San Francisco Artist Henry Lipkis will be jamming out at Hemisfair all day and night this Saturday creating a giant mural, courtesy of Hemisfair Park Area Redevelopment Corporation, the Convention Center Expansion Team, and the 80/20 Foundation. The piece will be Lipkis’ interpretation of an Urban Jungle in the spirit of downtown San Antonio’s much-anticipated transformation. Not only will the public be able to witness Lipkis’ artistic magic during Luminaria, but the finished product will be placed on the exterior wall of the Convention Center construction zone during expansion, as a reminder of what’s to come once Hemisfair redevelopment is complete.
